About the job:

• Vulnerability Management & Patch Management
  • Work to identify and remediate identified vulnerabilities within our internal and external IT infrastructure including deploying of Security patches
  • Continuously monitor newly discovered vulnerabilities and the threat exposure to our environment
  • Monitor and report the remediation status for previously identified vulnerabilities
  • Propose changes to existing remediation procedures to ensure operating efficiency
• Risk Assessment
  • Participate in the Risk assessment exercises including identification of relevant risks and assigning the appropriate likelihoods and impacts for our environment
  • Participate in the remediation process for previously identified risks and propose the remediation action to the Business owners
• Application Security Audits
  • Work closely with the Business owners to perform application security audits to identify the security risks
  • Define remediation actions to reduce the likelihood and impact of identified risks
  • Participate in classification process to classify our assets from Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability perspective
• Security Awareness and Training
  • Assist in the improvement and delivery of security awareness training programs for internal employees
  • Educate staff about best practices for maintaining security and adhering to security policies
• Security Investigation & Monitoring & Reporting
  • Operate the various security monitoring tools we use on a day to day basis and be responsible for the remediation of the identified alerts
  • Conduct Security Investigations including proposal and execution of remediation action
  • Prepare regular security reports for management, detailing security events, incidents and trends

What will you get:

• A minimum of 3 years of IT experience, with at least one year in an information security role (hands-on experience)
• A strong understanding of the business impact of security tools, technologies and policies
• Strong analytical skills to analyse security requirements and relate them to appropriate security controls
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Experience with audit and compliance staff
• Experience with common information security management frameworks such as International Standards Organization (ISO) 2700x, NIST-800-53, NIST-800-30 and NIST-800-171
• An understanding of operating system internals and network protocols
• Basic experience in system technology security testing (vulnerability scanning)
